Dosage guidance

Decoction: Boil 1 tsp root bark with 3 cups water in covered container for 30 min. Leave in closed container to cool. Take cold, 1-2 cups/day.

Cautions & contraindications

CONTRAINDICATED during pregnancy — abortifacient and uterine stimulant properties. Avoid while lactating/breastfeeding (lack of info). Gossypol is toxic to humans and nonruminant animals (naturally acts as insect repellant). IMPORTANT: Most cotton is GMO and heavily sprayed with herbicide. Obtain organically grown cotton for medicinal use.
